Five under £5 January

This month I’m joining in with Julia over at Rainbeaubelle  to share my Five under £5. I love picking up little treats and bargains and have enjoyed looking at other bloggers treats that cost £5 or less , so here are mine…

My Five under £5

Gloves- I picked up a pair of gloves from H&M for £2.99 you can’t see very well from my picture but they are a charcoal colour with gold thread running through, making them a bit sparkly! I’m forever losing gloves so these will be very useful.

Tyrells- I’m a bit in love with Tyrells vegetable crisps at the moment. I’m a bit late to the party on this one as they have been selling these for a long time. The thought of vegetable crisps didn’t really appeal to me before. However, I picked some up by accident (thought they were salt and vinegar!) and I love them.  They only cost 80p. Although they are vegetables they are still full of salt and fat so I only have them occasionally and enjoy them as a treat.

Notebook- I’m a sucker for stationery and love a good notebook. I always find Sainsburys great for stationery. Good value and lovely prints. I picked up this notebook in there for £2. Love the polka dot design, it reminds me of Kate Spades stationery range. I’m going to use it to put all my blog ideas/inspiration in.

Peppa Pig books- My monthly spends would not be complete without a couple of it bits for E. She is a big Peppa Pig fan. We found these Peppa board books last week in Poundland. They were £1 each so we had to get a few! We bought some other titles in there back in Ocotber so it must be something they stock regularly. Board books are great for her little hands to grab and turn the pages and as they are a pound I don’t feel too bad when she tries to eat them and the lovely illustrations get bite marks in them!

Puzzle- By far my favourite purchase for under £5 this month is an awesome Melissa and Doug chunky wooden farmyard puzzle for E. I got an insect one in this range for E for Christmas which was £4.99 in TKMaxx. She thinks it’s great and the bugs were nice and chunky for her to pick up. Because she enjoys it so much I wanted to get another one with a different theme. I saw the farmyard one in a local toy shop but it  was £9.99. I added it to my wishlist on Amazon and a couple of days later it was on a lightening deal for £4.99. I love a bargain and E loves the puzzle. Win win.

Thank you to Julia for setting up #fiveunder5 and the linky. I have really enjoyed joining in and can’t wait for Februarys 5!
